Crony Capitalism in Health Care

Health law benefits some Massachusetts hospitals, penalizes others

Steward Health Care System, which ­includes struggling Carney Hospital, will not qualify for millions of dollars in special payments under the new Massachusetts health care law

I wonder why Steward is being treated differently by our government, than the other hospitals, even though they treat a high percentage of poor?

The parent company of Taunton’s Morton Hospital will face a hearing next month before the National Labor Relations Board — on charges that it fired a nurse at another hospital last summer in retaliation for her having organized a union drive.


Birds of a feather, they protect the unions together. Always putting special interests before basic fairness.
